Calling this an App is an insult to developers all around the world who have worked tirelessly to create amazing digital experiences. The Showtime Apple TV app works only about 50% of the time, the rest of the time you can sit back and enjoy tireless minutes of clicking without any sort of response, not even an error or an acknowledgement that something went wrong, or even some entertaining spinning wheels. To add insult to injury HBOs app for Apple TV is beautiful, elegant, always works and has never caused me any trouble. Today I am unsubscribing from Showtimes online streaming services, until they can figure out how to fix this unholy mess.

This app is incredibly flawed, and yet has four stars because of their ad sales on another app. If you read the other reviews, most of the 5 star reviews were to unlock a feature on a different app. Most admitted they hadnt even used it. Thats incredibly shady. I cant use this app, or the other Showtime Anytime app, because both refuse to connect to the Internet no matter what I try. No other apps are experiencing this problem. This is a poorly designed app with poor support, and yet has four stars because of advertising. Beware all ye who came to watch Happyish

App is the worst pay for tv app. Tells me I dont have an Internet connection even though everything else works.

Getting a no connection error on two different devices that are both connected to the Internet (one on 70 Mbps wifi, the other on LTE). All other apps connecting without issue. Its a glitchy little app, which is especially annoying when you are paying for a subscription through iTunes and this is your only means of accessing what you are paying for...

Im trying to give this app a try because Showtime recently announced a good slate of boxing matches and as an ardent boxing fan (and cord cutter) I wanted to be able to see the fights. Ive tried repeatedly to use the app and it wont even make it past the logo. It keeps buffering and then tells me that theres no internet connection although I am clearly connected to the internet (how else could I write this review at the same time as I try this app?). I really do hope they fix this quickly. I can see Im not alone in my complaints.

Its really hard to watch anything when the app wont connect to the internet every other time I try using it. Its rather annoying. Especially since I pay for this app every month. Youd think you could get it together and fix the problem.

Its brilliant that showtime shows the error message "check your internet connection..." Instead of "our site is broken again" so I figured I would use my supposedly broken internet connection to type this review.

had an issue, sent an email, got a canned response that my issue needs to be addressed to another email. why not forward my email? why not provide that email address? when i replied, i got a canned response that i need to email them from a different email address for security reasons. what a joke. how about you help me with my issue rather than using email addresses as an excuse for not doing anything. i still dont know what email address to contact.

My iPad is wifi-only, so I cant speak to the stability without it. With WiFi, its stable unless I hit rewind several times in a row. Thats a little annoying The video does look great, and its easy to find programs. There are previews, but theyre not too too long. I really would like a fast-forward button like HBO has. HBO has the perfect app, very stable. I never have to restart it. Best thing about the Showtime app is It enabled me to get rid of Comcast cable TV because Comcast is expensive, they have the worst customer service in the country, and, like Janice in Accounting, they dont give a ****.

I have to delete and redownload every time I use. Glitches like no other app.

We love the content on Showtime, but half of the time we use the app it doesnt function properly. It takes forever to buffer and is always doing so. The other times it says the server cant be reached. Definitely needs some improvements
